Method 2: Vinegar
Using vinegar is actually a good trick but some people are hesitant because of the lingering vinegar smell. Here is what you can do: dilute white vinegar in warm water, get a clean cloth and soak the cloth in this mixture. Use the cloth to blot the area affected with the vinegar solution. Let the solution stay for a few minutes and then use your vacuum again to dry the mattress.
Method 3: Alcohol
This is a quick and easy trick. Just pour it on the area affected. Leave it there to dry. Alcohol dries up quickly so you won't have a problem with damp mattress.
Method 4: Baby Powder
Good old baby powder can do the trick. Use it the same way you used the baking soda trick. Just sprinkle some on the area affected and then vacuum it after a few minutes.
Method 5: Lemon Juice
Get rid of the smell by diluting lemon juice in water. Use it the same way you tried the vinegar solution. Make sure the juice has penetrated well in the mattress before vacuuming.
